Workshop 12 april 2024

On April 12, 2024, Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, in collaboration with Indeco Soft SRL and SC Creative Space SRL, successfully hosted the workshop on the use of the Urban Heat Island. The event, part of the INTEGRATE project, brought together experts and representatives of local authorities to discuss the detection, importance and corrective solutions of the urban warming phenomenon. Participants had the opportunity to interact in applied sessions, exploring advanced technologies and recent geospatial data to improve the quality of life in Romanian cities.
The discussions culminated in the presentation of technical solutions for the real-time assessment of heat islands, the improvement of urban planning strategies and their integration into existing GIS solutions. The results and materials of the workshop are now available for consultation and download on the integrate.indecosoft.ro platform, providing access to detailed thermal maps and evaluations of urban heat islands for multiple localities in Romania.
